SandHive brings three jobs into your development workflow: turn project updates into posts, find relevant X conversations, and prepare replies in your project’s voice. Review the drafts, then publish. Use the CLI directly or through your coding agent.
Who is it for?
Technical founders and small teams building crypto products, developer tools, or indie software whose audience is active on X. Start with a project you can describe, verified product facts, and something useful to contribute.
Can I try it now?
The GitHub preview includes local project context, reply drafting, request previews, and a skill for Codex or Claude Code. Conversation discovery, standalone posts, and publishing are planned for the full release. Node.js 22 or later is required; install from source while the npm release is being prepared.
Can my agent use it?
Yes. Install the SandHive skill in your project for Codex or Claude Code. Your agent can prepare your audience, verified facts, and voice from the documentation available in its session, preview the request, and help you review the draft.
How does publishing work?
The release workflow is draft → review → publish. Publishing setup will be documented at release. In the current GitHub preview, review and edit the draft, then publish it manually in X.
What does it cost?
Distribution and service terms are being finalized. The current repository does not grant an open-source license, and there is no public npm release yet. Check the README for current terms and availability.
What happens to my project data?
The current CLI sends the supplied conversation, account identifier, and writing guidance to the hosted SandHive service. Your profile stays local; source files are not uploaded by the CLI. The service may process and retain request data. Use suitable summaries and leave out confidential information.
What if the preview returns no draft?
No draft is a valid result. Review the supplied conversation or choose another. Live API access is still being verified; you can use --dry-run to inspect the request without calling the service. The repository documents errors and next steps.
